Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what Specter Scans collects and why. We keep it minimal — we only store what the site needs to work, and we never sell your data.

What we collect

  • Account: your email and a securely hashed password when you sign up. Your display name is shown on comments you post.
  • Reading activity: bookmarks, reading progress, ratings, and comments, so your library and place are saved.
  • Technical: a session cookie to keep you signed in, and anonymous error reports to help us fix bugs.

If you browse signed out, your reading history is stored only in your own browser and never leaves your device unless you create an account.

How we use it

To run your account, sync your library and progress across devices, show comments, and keep the site working. We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.

Deleting your data

Email contact@specterscans.com to delete your account and associated data.
